PINK MOMENT is a dream-length diary entry for late winter into spring, during a week of severe tooth pain. Where Zulueta plays with chasing rapture and stretching it out into a single sustained note, I run after moments in pink that leap from one to the next, without thought or thought in overdrive, frantic, and the illusion of motion loses its anchor. All of a sudden, it's already The End and I sit thinking, where did all that time go? How do you enter a season of birth and renewal with death so total? What brings life? Excerpts sourced from SITT MARIE ROSE by Etel Adnan (misreading mine) and SUB ROSA MADRIGRAL by Lisa Rose Spaar. Fridge magnets, pencil, Kolsvart Salty Licorice Fish, Amoxicillin capsules, red fuzz and oil pastel on paper. Photos of my nearsighted world. Individual frames taken with phone camera and rendered into sequence on Premiere. Made across time zones & alongside Sam, who invited friends to work on parallel projects due on the Spring Equinox.
