Hh is a tribute to a now defunct early Youtube video titled 10 MINUTES FRENCH KISS. From the fuzzy dial-up search history of my mind, two heads face one another in profile. The background is blank, its surface emitting or reflecting light. From start to finish: slow, passionate "french" kissing in extreme close up. Hairless, genderless, devoid of any identifying markers or details. Absolutely no audio. It was alien-like. Avant garde? I searched, but could not find it again.

* Skip to last Spring in Seaview, WA: driven by an incomplete, never-ending read of Hopscotch that involves the reading of every other text as a companion to Cortázar’s text, I attempted to finally work on a film adaptation of a passage from the novel while inviting interruptions to steer the route. Diversion (horniness) brought me to Hh (pronounced like a panting dog). Text frames made with GIMP and rendered into sequence on DaVinci Resolve. The resulting video was edited and screened at Sou'wester Arts Week 2025.
